I had heard about the classes from my neighbour. My first impression of the ALTC was the comfort of the welcoming staff.
The environment was non-judgmental and a chance to have social opportunities. I felt like it was a safe place to learn and grow. The ALTC is a positive learning area.
The program I have decided to take is Basic Computer Skills, such as digital technology. This is with the intention of continuing that opportunity for employment skills using Microsoft Office.
Ellen is an amazing teacher. She is happy to answer any questions. She always takes the time to explain the questions and help with the answers. I have learned more in a short time at the ALTC than in the six months of an online administration course.
I have enjoyed the hands-on assignments. I have more confidence in my computer skills. Doing this work at ALTC is a way of keeping the skills I have learned for future.
